How to fix a switch charging port

It's doable for an experienced technician, but it's not the port to learn on. Switch ports have a double row of pins, the inner row can't be seen. If you've already done other "big clunky charge ports" on other boards then a switch is a reasonable next step. If you're a beginner, start with an easier port like xbox hdmi.

Unscrew or pry the device's rear cover off. Then locate the USB charging port. Then place your new USB port in the old one by taking the old port off. Then place the back cover back on, then turn it on. You will be happy!
