Why does my tv sound tinny and echoes, but not with the DVD player.

@nannita what model is your TV? What is the sound like with the DVD player? Are you saying the the sound is normal with devices connected to it but sound tinny when using the TV station sound?

It's a Phillips tv. The sound is normal with the DVD player, and tinny and echoes during watching regular TV.

What is the model number of the TV (product info label is usually on the back)?
What is the signal source for the regular TV stations, a TV antenna or a "box" of some sort?
