Hi

If you can figure out a way to use the pci slots I could see it having a nice benefit in terms of reading and writing speeds

You could get a card that takes 2 m.2 SSDs and raid them together to make a very very quick drive

You will need to take into consideration how much space your pci bus has left as if you already have one raid SSD so you could be close to maxing the pci bus on it and adding more might not have a big if not any increase

Hopefully this helps

Any questions please ask

Thanks:-)

I have original Apple RAID card :) so will go with 2xSSD 2,5 in Bay 1 and 2 but I am not sure if it's worth time and effort :)

It really depends on the speeds you get as if you are already getting something like 1700-2000mbps if you add any more you might max out the PCI bus and won’t see much of a difference if not any at all:-)

My current SSD have 500 read and 450 write :) so if I go with RAID 0 I should have 1000/900 ?

I can’t say you will get exactly double but I think you could get some Improvement

How much of a improvement,I can’t say for sure but here’s a more in depth video that I think that could help

Your normal BUS speed is 3.0 using the bay slots. I've gone with the OWC PCI card to get 6.0 BUS speed.

I pulled my RAID card after the battery went dead and I saw the cost to replace it.

It was about $135.00, here how it's done: https://manuals.info.apple.com/MANUALS/0...
