Replaced battery and now the IPad has charging issues.

I just replaced the battery and it sometimes works right now. Originally I was able to get it on without issues however after plugging it in it showed as being at 2%. Since then I have been able to get it to 100% however it now is worse and charges wicked slow or tells me it isn't charging.

I have tried multiple things to try and fix this such as checking the pins on the battery connector, cleaning the battery connector carefully with isopropyl alcohol and i've even tried cleaning the charging port. It could be the battery but seeing how I've gotten it to work properly on occasion I don't think that's the issue. Can anyone think of a solution to this?
