So I've been having this problem for about 4-5 months now and i'm not sure what to do anymore, I've unplugged everything and made sure that every single wire is back in it's place, and when I go to boot it into safe mode I only get a black screen

Hi Gavin! To be honest, this is most likely a motherboard issue. Some PSP's are showing the same issue. I only had this once, as I disassembled the PSP, a IC came clean off the motherboard (can't remember which IC came off). I recommend to open it up and check what's wrong and reball (solder) it. Or replace the motherboard (this is more expensive).

Hey i have the same problem, did you managed to fix it up?
Some said it's bricked, the hardware could be OK, the problem is inside the emmc, probably the firmware getting corrupted
I stumbled upon on twitter, someone found the way to unbrick it by using some kind of special JIG.. I hope they gonna make some tutorialsnin the future on how to unbrick it
