Is this machine just beyond repair?

**I have since given the job this does to a rough cosmetics 840 G3 6200U/8GB setup, but I keep this around as it still works.**

This laptop has been through a lot - the original problem was related to hibernation, which I let go of as it didn’t happen consistently. However, not too long after the audio failed intermittently, which I suspected a failing motherboard. I reinstalled Windows for a 3rd time* and the issue of hibernation persisted.
*1st reinstall was to move the SSD from a E6440 to this E7440 - I probably could have reused it since a lot of the hardware between HSW E6/E7 machines are identical, but I didn’t want to risk getting my 10 Pro key invalidated and blacklisted. 2nd was to rule out other issues, and the 3rd was to fix the audio problem.

In addition to reinstalling Windows THREE TIMES, I also changed the hard drive cable to rule out the possibility. It has been fine since, but it failed again.

However, a new more serious issue has come up. I went to fire it up to check my library against the replacement, and it said there were disk errors so I restarted it. However, it has been stuck here for like, 5-10+ minutes and no progress has been made. It repaired the disk errors, but keeps perpetually scanning the drive for errors. The CS900 works perfectly in my touch E7440s, so it’s probably not an SSD incompatibility. This non-touch one was a grab I got for the screen, but was 768p so I couldn’t use the screen and shelved it until the E6440 began to age and I put a blem FHD screen in.

At this point, is there any hope left for this laptop, or is it beyond repair? I also cannot keep reinstalling Windows for reasons I will not mention here openly as the CS900 is likely a 75TBW SSD and Windows reinstalls can be hard on these drives. I also cannot realistically go back to Win8 due to the 2023 EOL issue.
