How fabric reset using installing cd?

even using option key or + C it does not work to start from installing cd - tried this thread but it didnt work.

Any idea on how to fabric reset?

The reason why I want to do that is because is crashing with

EXC_BAD_ACCESS KERN_INVALID_ADDRESS
