flexplate keeps breaking 0n2002 isuzu rodeo auto 3.4 4wd

have replaced tranny,torque converter and now the flex plate keeps breaking on my 3rd one to install, what am i doing wroNG Need answers before i install

there is 2 dowels that lines up the engine and trans, if one or both is missing, the flex-plate WILL crack. I was an Isuzu Master Tech and seen this issue often.
