MacBook is getting extremely hot
My Mid 2014 13” MacBook Pro A1502 is getting really hot when under normal use. You need to put a book under it to keep it from burning you.
I have plans to open it up and clean out any dust inside of it and I’m thinking it probably has something to do with thermal paste as it has never been replaced or opened in 6 years.
I wanted to get some answers on whether I should clean it out and if I need to replace the thermal paste. It doesn’t shut down or give me any temperature warning. It works fine although there are noticeable performance drops because of the heat.

@jflys5000 - I think you need to install a good thermal monitoring app like TG Pro IT allow you to see things graphically, give it a try and post a snapshot of all of the sensors (make sure you get the bottom ones and the fan) post it here for us to see 在已经存在的问题里加入图片.
Once we have it we can guide you on what's needed.
