What's the correct blade SSD should I buy for upgrading iMac Late 2015

Plan to do upgrade by installing a blade SSD, but not sure what’s the correct part number should I buy, can anyone give a hint?

Thanks,

Alex

Which is yours? Your options maybe limited!

Here’s the guide: 27英寸 5K Retina 显示屏 iMac 固态硬盘SSD 更换

Here’s one option: OWC Aura Pro X2 but its not supported in the Late 2015 model.

The other option is going with an original Apple blade SSD PCIe 3.0 x4 custom Samsung SSD for Apple

Mine is the late 2015 27” model, doesn’t have blade SSD originally installed, so, I’m thinking to install one. A question though, should it worth it comparing with just have a regular 2.5" SATA SSD installed?

I would go with the Apple (Samsung) blade SSD if you want performance!

But! That doesn't mean you need to get the largest one. I linked the 1 TB one but you could jump down to the 512GB and use either your current SATA HDD or go with a second SSD!

The issue is what is your work flow - are you into video or music creation? Or are you more a writer and YouTube watcher?

Its just like buying a car! You only needed it to get to work or are you driving four or more kids to the ball park? Very different needs.

Thanks Dan, I won’t use it extensively, so, regular 2.5” sata ssd should be good enough, considering it is not easy to open the cover, so, I just want to make the upgrade as much as I can within on open up/close.
