How to get rid of the vertical colored lines on Aspire One

Hi,

I have an Acer Aspire One, model ZG5. I toted it around in one of those nylon sports bags, not a proper bookbag.

Now, it has several vertical colored line a little to the right of center. First one, then another, now there are like six.

Also, the sound is messed up, even though I reinstalled the latest driver.

I am wondering if its the motherboard, or the video driver chipset. Anyone have any ideas?

Have you tried an external monitor? From what I read and envision, it sounds more like your LCD is in need of replacement. Also, any way for your to get some external speakers to check out the audio?

Hi oldturkey03,

I did. External monitor works fine. I used headphones, and they still have the same sound, which is kind of like an electronic stutter.
