Battery + - diffrent
ipad air battery needed replacement. Ordered model number 1478 as that is what it is.
battery came 1478…only trouble is when I looked at old battery and new ..positive and negative terminals are opposite ways around????
looked at few other batterys online and there all the same as new one. Say for example + -……where as old one is -+ ……can anybody tell me why this is please.

You are quite correct the original is stamped wrong.
Did not wish to install it once saw the diffre ce just incase but upon checking new battery it is 100% as should be.
