The button that is pushed down when the lid closes poped off

The button on the top of the washer that gets pushed down by the lid when it closes popped off. Now it won't drain. How do I put it back on

What is the model number of the washer?

Are you talking about the actual button on the top cover or the depresserer on the lid that pushes the button down?
