Both screens go white, but not completely. And it sometimes works fine

A little while ago both screens on my DS Lite went white, but not completely white. I can still make out some text and graphics and whatnot. Oddly enough, randomly pressing on the bottom half of the console sometimes gets it to display properly. Is there a short somewhere I can fix, or is it a write off?
