Can I upgrade processor
Mac book pro 15” mid 2010 A1286 2.53Ghz i5 can I upgrade the processor and what other upgrades? I already upgraded the RAM to 8Gb, changed my hard drive to SSD.

Laptops by design don’t have the space for removable processors. As such you can’t replace the CPU chip alone.
But! You can replace the full logic board with a different board within the same series of yours. So here’s a listing of the models of your series: MacBookPro6,2. So the best board would have a 2.8 GHz Core i7 (I7-640M) CPU.
Now the rub! Finding a board! Apple has long since stopped production of this logic board so all you’ll mostly find is salvaged boards from used systems and you’re not the only one that’s on the hunt either! As an example here’s one source: Mid 2010 15” MacBook Pro Unibody logic boards. The best board they currently have is 2.66 GHz Core i7 (I7-620M).
