Hi guys,
got a samsung galaxy tablet t819, when plug into pc, the tab only charges but not recognized. i reinstalled the driver, tried 4 different usb cables and many ports and 2 computer with windows os on it. no success. even in download mode not recognized.
only charges, not recognized
any help greatly appreciated.

Charging port is most likely worn out. Problem is finding someone that can remove it without cracking the screen to replace the charging socket.
The screen must be removed first to access the internals of the tablet.
If the screen gets cracked it’s $200+ for the screen. If not the port replacement usually you’ll see $80-$120.

Just verifying that when you connect the tablet to a computer using a USB cable that you open the tablet’s notification panel and select the USB option for file transfer > transferring media files or similar?
If so and the option does not appear, use a strong light and a magnifying glass to visually inspect the charge port for any debris etc that may be obstructing a good electrical connection, especially on pins 2 & 3 as these are the data pins. Also make sure that all the pins are there (5) and that they are straight and parallel with each other.
If you do see anything in the port enclosure, do not use a metal pin or probe to try and get it out as you may damage the pins or cause an electrical problem in the tablet.. Try using a vacuum cleaner to see if it can be sucked out. If it still won’t budge try using a sharpened wooden toothpick to gently prise it out.
If the port enclosure appears to be OK, try the following:
Insert the charge cable plug into the tablet’s charge port.
Do not connect the other end of the charger cable to anything
Firmly grab hold of the tablet in one hand and then grab hold of the inserted charger cable plug between the forefinger and thumb of the other hand.
Gently try to move the plug from side to side and up and down to check if any movement in the charge port is detected.
If so or even if not the tablet will need to be opened and the charge port connection inspected.
Here’s a link to the ifixit Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 SM-T813 Motherboard Replacement guide which should be of some help in gaining access to the USB charge port. This is the WiFi only version of the tablet, but basically the same
If the connector seems to be secure on the systemboard as a DIY repair the next thing to try is replacing the USB charge dock daughter board - example only and check if that resolves the problem.
The example is only to show you what the board looks like and how much it may cost. There are other suppliers online that may suit you better. Just search for SM-T819 charge dock daughter board to get results.
If it still doesn’t work then there may be a problem with the systemboard.
