My TV won’t turn on

I was attempting to connect our old VCR to the new TV. After plugging in the chords the tv would not turn on with the remote or by pressing the power button on the TV. After unplugging the VCR the tv still won’t turn on. I’ve done a basic reset by unplugging it but nothing has worked yet. Any suggestions?
