Using OS X Disk On Different Mac?

I have a few broken Macbook Pro's that I acquired from eBay. There are all the 2.26 13" Unibody models. This may be a stupid question, but would I be able to install OS X on Mac #2 using Mac #1 install disk?

Also would all the other things like disk utility work?

The reason I am asking is because not all of them came with an install dvd and I would rather not drive an hour to the closest Apple store to have them do it. Thanks

Use Target mode to do this. Connect the two machines via a firewire cable and start up the on you need a system on holding down the "T" key. This machines hard drive icon should now show up on the screen of the other machine. You can now run Disk Utilities on it and/or install a system from the disk drive. Personally I would zero format the drives to eliminate all bad blocks and then install the system. Since all the machines are the same, if your have an original gray installation disk for that machine type, it will work on all the machines or just get a retail version of 10.6 ($29.00) and install it on all of them.

The Mac OSX Install CD's are machine specific and would not work on other machines. Now being that these models are the exact same models, it just might work. Please post back with your results.

if the machines are same mean to say Model identifier is same as your original one then it will work on those. these dvds supports only that bundle machines.
