Not turning on but I get a light on my power button

Hi there,

I recently bought this laptop second hand it worked fine for a day or two but it has stopped powering up, I have tried with and without the battery connected.

when I press the power button the light on the button comes on and sometimes it sounds like the fans are starting but after a few seconds it all just cuts out and I get nothing.

any help would be great!!

First make sure you unplug power and remove the battery!

Try reseating the RAM:

Toshiba Satellite A665-S5170 RAM Replacement

Thanks Mike! I was having this problem with my Toshiba laptop, and would never have thought of reseating the RAM. It worked! Thanks again!
