Hello,
Apple sells two versions of the 2019 27” 5K iMac. One with classic foot and the other with VESA mount.
I want to know if it’s possible to buy the VESA mount alone to replace the standard foot.
I found the answer for several models, but not this one particularly.

While you can exchange the internal hinge assembly for the VESA mount version its a god awful job as you need to take the whole system apart to get to it!
The better and cheaper approach is to find one of the 3rd party clamp on VESA mounts these connect to the hole in the foot VIVO Adapter VESA Mount Kit
If you are really set on wanting to remove the foot in its entirety, I know of a few folks who bought another foot cutting it down and TIG welding a machined VESA mount to it. I’ve also seen a removable foot design made so the foot could be taken off for shipping!

@danj I have a 27" iMac on the bench right now, and its fully apart. So that part of the job is not a concern. The question is...what VESA mount part do you need to buy, to replace the "foot". I have a VESA mount from an older iMac and was hoping that could work, but I see no way of getting it connected to the internal "hinge".
Sadly, Apple does not offer the parts for the 2019 version! You need to replace the full case to get it!
Apple P/N 923-03065 (around $350 USD). Then you still need to plate piece from the iMacPro VESA kit VESA Mount Adapter Kit for iMac Pro - Space Gray $80 USD.
Cheaper to modify the foot welding the plate to it Mid ‘17 27” iMac 5K Stand which I think is the same for the 2019 model. At least see if you can do it with this part first.

If you can get the Apple VESA mount parts, you can easily replace it.
I have seen someone saying they have been replaced it on his 2015 iMac. You can find more detail in this page. iMac Intel 27" EMC 2639 Stand Replacement
You will need the proper parts that fit 2019 though.

@wchwdavid - Sadly this 3rd party part is no longer available. Even still its different than the 2019 models of course! Thanks Apple you couldn't stick with one design across 21.5 & 27" iMac's offering the needed two.
@danj Yeah, I was hoping to find a 3rd party one but fails. I can only find a british company selling those parts. However thinking of the price and difficulty, I might stick with the original stand sadly.
I have the same issue, I was thinking that Apple manufactured vesa mount for 2019-2020 models so maybe I could get my hand on a spare part, fully disassemble my imac and then change the foot by the official vesa mount.
Surely someone on the internet has made a vesa mount you can screw at the same place the foot is placed, even if that need to tear down your mac. If you heard something like this, please give me a link, thanks!

I have exactly this model:
iMac 27’’ A2115 Retina 5K. (iMac19,1 2019: MRRO2LL/A (3,1 GHz Core i5)
I bought the part on the web and although it is not cheap, it is completely perfect.
I wanted to change the hdd for an ssd disc, and also the CPU for an i9. To do this, I have to disassemble the entire equipment. I took the opportunity to remove the support and install this VESA adapter.

This is so frustrating. I need to lower my iMac 5K to prevent neck pain so those adapters that mount to the stand are useless.
I had planned to install a VESA mount when I swapped in SSD and CPU upgrades. It never even occurred to me that Apple would use a different case. That makes no sense from a manufacturing or inventory management perspective, especially since the Pro model allows for the installation of a cheap VESA plate kit. It hurts my brain to even think of all the extra effort made by Apple to complicate the lives of Mac users.

You can try to find a 2015 iMac case with VESA. It works on my 2019 iMac fine.
