SSD Upgrade Performance Improvements?

Hi, I have a 15 inch 2012 Retina MacBook Pro with 256gb OEM ssd. I’m looking at adding a 1TB msata ssd using an adapter. What i’m wondering is, other than the increase in drive space from 256gb to 1tb, would I expect to see an increase in performance from a msata ssd over the Apple OEM ssd? Has anyone done the upgrade and seen a marked difference in performance?

Thanks

Surely not, you may expect possible problems as you’re using an adapter, but surely not a better performance, if that’s what you’re looking for just forget it..at best performance will be the same, Apple drives are expensive but optimised for the hardaware they’re supposed to run on.
