HP Officejet Pro 8630 Printer Head error 0xc19a00 stuck on right side.
Folks,
Anyone ever get the feeling we’re being played by this company? I had a perfectly working HP printer until last night. I use bonafide HP ink and paper and this morning the printer showed that the print cartridge that holds the ink was not being recognized. I went through all the hoops with tech support and the eventual outcome was a tech trying to upsell me for a new printer at a “discounted price” (B&H had the same price). Truthfully the tech sounded more like a salesperson reading the pitch off a sheet of paper.
This smells of planned obsolescence to me.
The $120 part + shipping in question was back ordered for 7-8 weeks! But wait! We can upsell you a brand new printer along with our program called Instant Ink! Only $2.99 a month.
I went through this drill the last time I had an issue with my printer. Except they didn’t sell the part. I got suckered into buying an upgrade…shame on me.
I’m not sure what to do here. They say there’s no guarantee that the new print cartridge will fix the issue. As the tech was having me go through the step by step motions, the last sequence put the print cartridge all the way to the right of the inside of the printer. It’s locked there and will not move.
If I had a couple of days to tear it down, I might go after it but I’m heading out of town and my wife needs to print docs. for work.
Anyone with similar HP issues? Let’s crowdsource this thing!
Thanks
