repair cracked/broken socket am 3?replacement part?
DUE TO HEAT MY AM3 SOCKET COVER IS TRASH.I am trying to find replacement part only,if possible?the white plastic cover with lock arm.exactly as shown in photo.

You can buy a complete unit online (and just swap out the lid and keep the reballed CPU Socket for another day. You’ll see just how easy it is to remove the lid when you get you new one, but once all the chaff is out of the way, just open the retainer bar 1/2 way and slide it half way out to the left. At that point “Gingerly” pop the latches around the edges (as I said when you get your new one from “ALiExpress”(tm) ) you’ll easily see just what tabs hold the broken lid on and your new one on. Enjoy your DIY experience

The socket it’s self may be bad then also. Firstly try a comparable different CPU (from a know working unit) if it won’t boot to post the socket is probably done in. The costs for buying all the necessary parts (the heating deck, the heating gun with specific sized port to cover just the socket, the tin balls (sometimes they come with the new socket ) the socket /Tim layout grid (try putting 290 little balls of tin of each pin by hand??)... all this adds up to just buying the CPU socket and tin balls (if not included) and ship it off to a service Center that handles all types of CPU socket and other pin out repairs. You can find them on the web too and they are local in most countries.

non ho rotto tutto il soket ma solo la parte in plastica mi si e sganciata e nel metterla si e rotta
