Why won't my washer fill for rinse cycle?
Washer fills for wash cycle. Drains & spins normally. However when it's time to fill for the rinse, I only hear clicks. Washer is an LG inverter direct drive top loader.

If the washer drains after washing but will not fill in the rinse cycle then checking the pressure switch would be a good idea. If the tub is empty you can remove the plastic hose, give the switch a thump and reattach the hose. Does it fill now?
If not then you can remove the violet wire and tan wire from the pressure switch and join them together with a small piece of insulated wire.
Remember to unplug the washer first before attempting this.
With these two wires connected the washer will fill if the pressure switch is the problem.
According to your specific model number the color of the wires may differ.

The new standard today for all top load washers do not allow for a "clean water" rinse. The washers wash the load, then drain and spin ending the cycle. There is no rinse cycle anymore even though the word "rinse" is illuminated! I find this extremely disappointing because there is going to be detergent still left in the load at the end of the cycle!
I have same problem. I think this is unsanitary as soap and or bleach are not removed. I run a second load without soap. It's amazing how much gray water is in the wash cycle.
Same here & I've also run a wash cycle without soap to ensure enough water is in the tub to actually perform a rinse function. grrr
You may have a bad timer and need to replace it. The timer controls every cycle that the washer does. I’m sure that the manufacture will ship you one if you can provide the model number/serial number. I hope this helps. Bluesman01

Is there a way to bypass the new water saver washing machines. I hate my whirlpool washer because only a set of queen sheets come out with dry areas that never got wet. I make sure I push down to make load even and still dry areas. I’ve tried using bulky cycle with high water level just to get a small load clean! I’m tired of clothes not getting clean as well! How does washing clothes twice save any water?

I have this problem too- soap suds overflowing from machine - use only very small amount of soap powder (same as always in past).!!!
