How hard is to replace the fans on this machine?

The fans are quite easy to replace on their own. Review this IFIXIT teardown 配备Touch Bar的15英寸MacBook Pro拆解 The 13” is exactly the same setup up. Jump to Step 11. You do need to take the logic board out to get to the fans screws.
Why do you think you need to replace either one of them? Often times dust and debris cake up the fan blades which if cleaned solves the issue.

thanks, can i clean the fans without unscrewing them? If so - how? Also battery could be removed without taking logicboard out?
Lets go back to square one here... What is the problem with the system? Go back to your question and instead of asking a direct question on an action "Replacing Fans".
Lets work it from my system is doing this ... Or my system is not doing this ... I did this and now the system is not working ... Or lastly, I want to do this because ...

The difficulty on this varies on your tech savvy ability. I would definitely watch a teardown on youtube or here seeing if its something you can do yourself.

The easiest way is to use some software which gains access to the SMC services of the system. I would use this one TG Pro Its on sale now for $10 which is a good deal!
