Hi,

Here’s a link to the ifixit Samsung Galaxy View Motherboard Replacement guide. It is useful as it shows how to open the tablet so that access to the DC jack is possible. The jack is a “plug in module”, it is being held down by a bracket (see image in Step.11 of the guide), so access to the underside of the motherboard, i.e. remove motherboard, may be necessary as well)

The part number for the jack is Samsung 3722-004020.

Searching online, using the part number only in the search box of a browser, gives results for suppliers. Unfortunately most state “out of stock” or “discontinued item”.

Here’s one supplier, who presumably can get one. I’ve shown it just to give you an idea of the cost of the part. There may be other in stock suppliers that I’ve missed. Only did a quick search ;-)

Here’s an out of stock supplier, shown just to let you see what the part looks like.

Hopefully this is of some help.

Excellent description. I have mine open right now, have the "module" out right now, and as soon as I can find my soldering clamps and eqpt, I will test continuity to see if there is a break under the heatsink in the backside of the module.

If no joy, then I'm going to jury-rig a permanent solution, running the wires out to the back, Hot Glue a connector that is firmly fixed to the back. Perhaps a strain-bracket for the feed-cable so I don't yank it out by accident.

I just want my tablet back in working condition again LOL.

Thanks so much for filling in what my memory obviously mixed up with a recent laptop repair (similar situation!)
