Hi!

Yes, you can use a motherboard from a different region in your Vita. Everything should be the same.

Thanks a lot for your information. I have one more query. As the button settings are a bit different in usa than japan("X" to select vs "O" to select), will this be any problem regarding the mother board change ? or is there any specific hardware design that might prevent me from changing the mother board ?

Thank you

Hi!

The boards are identical on a hardware-level. When you set your console's language to Japanese, it will change the button mapping on its own, but as long as you keep the language to English it's alright.

I'm not sure, however, why you need a Japanese motherboard specifically: the PS Vita is *not* region locked, you can play jap games on a North American console.
