so after i replaced my battery on my iphone 6s and put everything back together the display acts strange. some apps works with 3d touch and some dont. also when i push down for 3d touch colored blotches come up in that spot. however when the phone is unscrewed and just not put together everything works fine.
please help
does this mean i need a new display?

Sounds like the iPhone housing edges have been bent inwards and when you push in the lcd it doesn’t sit flush. Try straightening the housing where it’s damaged and the lcd should get back working properly.

Ok will try when I get home. The truth is one side of the screen isn’t flush with the casing but I didn’t think that was the cause.

the part of the lcd that doesnt go in fits in but doesnt stay flush it pops out a little still
