iPhone SE 128GB problem with battery?

Bought an SE with a cracked screen on Craiglist. Phone was fully working. I purchased a replacement screen. I put the new screen on and everything was fine for ~30m. I come back to it after dinner, and colors are messed up and there's already burn in on the screen (burn in of the home screen). The phone started randomly shutting down and would report 1% battery life on startup and whenever plugged in. I installed a known good display and my color issue was fixed, but the other symptoms remain. Whenever I unplug it, it reports the correct battery percentage (12 percent, currently) but then force restarts shortly after. I bought a replacement battery, but the same symptoms were present with the new battery plugged in. Battery health says that the phone battery needs to be 'serviced' with both batteries, one of which had a reported 90% life before this whole ordeal. How to resolve it?

The issue with the random shut down is most likely due to one or more damaged SMD components right above the battery connector.

One of the components likely the first or second one on the left are used to read the gas guage which is a little board that is located at the bottom of an iPhone battery.

When it can’t read that it doesn’t know how much charge the battery has (voltage) so you get this random shut down effect because it tries to pull more power occasionally than the battery can supply.

These get damaged when a pry tool or nail is pried in too deeply or not carefully when unplugging the battery.

The components marked in red below is where the pry damage occurs:

If this is the case you’ll need to look for a reputable repair shop that does board-level repairs or micro soldering to fix this issue.

It seems you did all it was possible outside of a microsolderer work bench. It is quite likely an IC got damaged, possibly by a third party cheap charger/cable and power surge. It needs replacement, but it’s not a DIY repair, you would need to find a lab specialized in board level repairs.
