Issues with optical drive

I was cleaning my brother’s playstation 4 because the fan was overworked and the console was hot. When I opened it I left the game disk inside the drive and went on carefully disconnecting all cables and cleaned the system and it’s hardware. After I had put the console back together it still ran extremely hot but the fan still worked. The disk drive on the other hand stopped working entirely. It will take in a disk, making some sound like it was loading or even grinding for second then not recognize the disk. It will eject the disk and upon opening the drive itself there was nothing foreign inside and the disk was centered correctly. I cleaned the lens and still no luck. All cables and connections are correct and connected properly. There was no physical damage to any cable or the drive. I just dry wiped it. Also he has issues with his wifi as he gets about 20-30mbps slower than what I get on my xbox one even when they are next to each other and wired.
