The Motorola Moto Z2 Play was released in June of 2017. It has a 5.5 inch screen and a non-removable Li-Ion 3000 mAh battery. Its rear camera is 12MP and its front camera is 5MP. Model number XT1710.

Hi,

Can you still access your phone OK but cannot get the thumbprint to work or are you locked out of your phone because the thumbprint doesn't work?

Try starting the phone in safe mode in case you are using a 3rd party screen lock program on your phone to see if you can get in OK

Try deleting your thumb print and re-adding it. This resolves the issue most the time for my iPhone, let’s see if it works for your Moto.
