My serpentine belt flung off on golf mk4
after a timing belt change i connected all hoses back to fluids and out serpentine belt back on started it let it run and sounded good then my temp gage came on and threw my serpentine belt off and the then the car wouldnt start on my golf mk4 what is wrong?
AmateurFIXER01 "temp gage came on and threw my serpentine belt off" most likely that you were having water pump issues related to your belt. This is really not related to your temp gauge. Can you still turn the engine over at all or has it seized? Who replaced the timing belt? did you check that it was installed with proper alignment marks etc? What exact year is your Golf and what size engine does it have?
