Can't remove door latch assembly

I am trying to re-attach the spring on the door latch assembly on my GE PVM1790DR1BB.

I got the panel off to access the latch assembly but it will not simply pop out as the ones do on those wonderful videos.

Am I missing another clip or latch or thing-a-mabob?

After reading an answer for removing the door handle on a similar model I tried again and managed to remove the Stubborn Obstinate Bother. I now will order a new door latch assembly and I will remain eternally grateful to this community for helping me believe in myself!
