How do I install windows 7 from usb/cd in UEFI

Hey guys.

I have a RCA 2 in 1 cambio tablet and it crashed in windows 10 and I don't have a repair or reinstall disk but I have Windows 7.

When I was trying to get help from RCA I hit the wrong button and it put me here. (See picture) I'm trying to install my Windows 7 that's on a cd on to the tablet through my IDE to USB adapter (See Picture) but the directory is not detecting the USB port, unless I just don't see it.

Can you guys give me a hand and help me figure out how to install windows on here because everything I try doesn't seem to work.

Hi @sheppardsr1 ,

You can create a Win 10 USB recovery disc from any known working Win 10 PC.

Go to Control Panel > Recovery > Create a USB recovery disc in the host PC

You'll need an 8GB flash drive and about 40-60 minutes of time.

When you have the recovery drive, go into the BIOS of the tablet and enable legacy USB or CSM (don't know which yours will have) insert USB drive and restart tablet . Also make sure that the boot option is for USB as first boot option.

When it boots into the Win 10 WRE from the USB drive, select Troubleshooting > Advanced > startup repair and follow the prompts.

Do not select "Reset this PC" as this will reinstall Windows and erase all your data

You will need to download the media creation tool. Get a copy of the Windows iso file and use the media creation tool to load it on to a USB. You will then be able to install the version of windows you need.
