Why won't my DS turn on, but still can charge?

I've had this DSi for years but I only ever played it until it stopped working. I can charge it just fine, but when I go to turn it on the screen remains black, and the lights on the top left corner of the bottom portion does nothing as well. What can I do to repair it, and where can I go or who do I send it to? Much Obliged.
