Display not properly working?

Hello,

My display for my Macbook Pro 13” is currently showing either white or striped purple lines. This started happening when I moved the display back. I moved it forward and it came back displaying normally but the stripes came back if I moved it back again. I decided to restart and now it does not go back to normal. If I try to increase/decrease screen brightness nothing happens. Same with keyboard brightness. Would this be a display problem or internal?

Update: Plugging hdmi recognizes the laptop but displays the same thing I would see on the laptop display.
