Can I replace my s7 LCD with a s7 edge LCD

I just want to know if i can replace my galaxy s7 LCD sm-g930a with a galaxy s7 edge LCD sm-935a. if not is there any other LCD that is compatible with a galaxy s7 ? Because for some reason I can only find my phones replacement LCD for 3 times as much for what they want for a s7 edge LCD screen or any other phones LCD screen . I don't understand why it wouldn't work. I just don't want to waste money on it if it's not going to and I can't find anything on the internet telling me weather I can or can't.

Sorry for the Paragraph I'm just frustrated lol

no you can't.

it won't fit and electrically it's still a question.

i have the same question cause i want to test my G930 hardware with a G935 working screen.

What if you use a Samsung s7 edge LCD WITH THE CORRECT Samsung s7 screen so outer case will fit ...isnt the LCD SCREEN like a flimsy sheet ? ..so wouldn't it fit if between case . Its so very frustrating trying to find a SMG S7 LCD when the LCD N screens of edge cost so little ...same year slightly different outer shell so why the MASSIVE price difference??? ..its crazy !

Hi team. I am wondering if the Samsung S7 Edge LED/AMOLED has the same connection as the Samsung galaxy S7 ??

This is NOT for fitting, but to use as VIEWING... as my S7 is unrepairable and I need to get info off cell. Please help. Thanks

The g935 is a curved screen; No, it will not fit a g930 phone... That's like pushing a square peg through a circular hole .. Like why won't a bike tire fit my car? They are both tires, right?

... Just expect every model of phone to have it's own screen and none of them are compatible with each other. There are exceptions to the rule, of course, but you will save yourself some grief if you accept the fact.

Are you looking for parts or a repair? Are you only looking in the one place if it's for parts? If you check with a number of different suppliers, the prices will vary. In my experience the g930 is the less expensive of the two models to repair so the prices you have been given are strange to me.

U would expect the s7 screen and lcd to be cheaper than the s7 edge but it is not. I have the same problem u can find loads of s7 edge screen and LCD replacement parts £55 upwards but s7 screen and LCD starts around £150 upwards.

This Beninja does not know what the !&&* he is talking about, and he is also condescending. It actually is not literally like putting a peg through a square hole. You are so dumb. All the guy asked was if he can hook up the phone to the screen that costs like $23 instead of $56. Those are roughly the current prices on Ebay. I had the same question. A better question is if a S6 screen would work as a replacement for a S7 because from what I see, they are the same screens. Anything is doable. The question is if it can be done cost and time effect. I want to know if a S6 screen can replace a S7 G930v........ I don't know yet. Maybe you can get an S6 for like $10...

You know what is more expensive than a $56 screen? Buying the wrong screen for $23, realising it isn't going to work and then buying the $56 screen anyway.

No you cannot use the Edge on the regular.

Check Aliexpress and the reviews from buyers. Prices are better here.

technically it should fit on electronics, but no in the frame.

So in theory will the lcd digitizer from an s6\s7 edge work in a reg s7? Not the glass but JUST the lcd digitizer?

Hello , i would like to do the same. I have a broken s7 and a broken s7 edge . I wold like to save my data from my s7 but i need a working screen for it and the edge’s screen is ok .So it might be working?
