Touch bar in the new mac is done with a software or hardware
I intend buying a new macbook pro without a touch bar.Is it possible to add on this feature since it is expensive your comments and advice.Narayanan lakshman india

Not possible! Between the case being very different the logic board is as well. They are very different systems.
I would encourage you to review the IFIXIT teardowns here:
The newer 2017 models are exactly the same, just with an upgraded CPU.
