possible to run as headless

greatings I have recently aquired an early 2008 24" Imac with what i suspect is a dead nVidia 8800gs card ... a search of ebay indicates that a replacement card is pricey and likely to fail aswell

(diag led 1 and 2 light up, 3 flashes once and stays off after, 4 stays off)

no chime unless video card is removed

I am thinking of what i can do with the hardware

the screen looks functional so getting a controller board and using it as a monitor is an option

the logic board does chime if the video card is removed so in theory i may be able to get it to boot ? (previous person has already removed the Harddrive)

so assuming it will boot

will it run as a headless/ no video card server ?

or anyone have sugestions as to what i could do with it ?
