FireCuda in a 2011 iMac

The hard drive in my mid 2011 iMac 12.2 has died, so I'm looking for a replacement. There seems to be a bit more faff than I was expecting because of the temperature sensor. I just wondered if anyone had tried this drive in an iMac and could give advice?

I've installed both the 1 & 2 TB FireCuda 3,5" drives in the 2011 iMacs. Both needed the OWC inline thermal sensors to prevent runaway fans. https://eshop.macsales.com/item/OWC/DIDI...
