In 2012, Sony Entertainment announced that the company would be releasing a new version of its 2006 Playstation 3 console. The new console is called the Playstation 3 Super Slim and is identified by the model number, CECH-4000. The PlayStation 3 Super Slim (CECH400x) is the third version of the PS3 video game console produced by Sony Computer Entertainment. It was released October 25, 2012.

My PS3 slim doesn't turn on an it doesn't have any sort of light

I just bought a PS3 slim from a friend because he has a PS4 now and his PS3 was just on a shelf for years, now it doesn't want to turn on, it doesnt have any sort of red light and its not broken, if you can, please help.
