How to replace or repair broken motorized trunk retractor

@boatbuildertom , Tom, Look for a broken wire for retractor at the trunk hinge drivers side, there is a plug there also may be loose/corroded plug or a couple broken wires.

Other causes could be fuse/relay, paddle/switch, actuator, pull down assy./motor faulty. It would also be a good idea to lube up the latch/lock assy. really well and note that the latch is indeed in the open position.
