13" aluminum unibody, 2.0 or 2.4 GHz Core 2 Duo processor.

It doesn't start anymore.

Hi pals,

First I would like to apologyse for my bad english.

My daughter put water on the keyboard.

Once dryed, the comp didn't restart.

My brother cleaned it with special cleaning products and the mac book pro starter once.

We think the problem comes from on/off button but before dissasembling allé the parts, we would like to be sure of it.

Is there any pin I can use to "emulate" this button ?

Kind regards,

Jonathan.

Ok mine is 820-2565-A but I didn't found any pic about these pads :(

I also found oxydation :/

That code refers just to the small magsafe connector board, that is used by a wide range of models. The code you have to look for is not as evident and it's on the logic board. You might need a good light source to find it and a magnifier might help as well. A little oxydation might not be that bad given it's at least a 5 years old machine, providing it's not corrosion.

Yes, the are power pads for testing purposes on the logic boards. If you look carefully you should be able to find a printed number starting with 820-xxxx-x that indicates the exact model you own. When you have that, a search on the net including number and power pads should answer your question.
