laurachristian66, as oldturkey03 recommends try a reset, also check breakers/fuses to be sure you have power to receptacle being used. Below is a link to repair/trouble shooting document that may help, read through the document to help diagnose the problem possibly you have a bad door switch. If not comfortable testing and trouble shooting call a good repair tech. and have the take a look, diagnose and estimate repair. Good luck.

laurachristian66 unplug it for a while and then plug it back in. See if that resolves it
