iPod thinking for itself

My son has dropped his ipod several times. It still works but when you go to slide across the screen it doesn't work straight away. Also when you go to push a app it might go to somewhere else. Also when you go to type something it goes all crazy and starts typing in its own letters. Can this be fixed??

This just seems like a digitiser fault

Simple fix

Sadly you can't just replace the digitiser alone you have to replace the whole display assembly

I wouldn't call it a simple fix. I've damaged the ribbon connector replacing this before and it is a pain to do.

For the price of the part I'd rather buy a 2nd hand iPhone 4.
