In this site's guide for upgrading your laptop you say upgrading the hard drive is a good idea. You go on to say that rpm and capacity aren't very important but you don't say what is important when choosing a hard drive. Thoughts??

Several of us have been recommending the Seagate SSHD hybrid drives. I've installed a couple of hundred myself. Either the 500GB or 1 TB drive. It can be had for under $120 for the 1 TB. You get about a "perceived 50% increase in speed because of the SSD part of the drive. I also recommend replacing the Hard Drive/IR cable and going with the one from the 2012 15" machine.
