Why isn't my Farberware 12 cup coffee maker pot brewing?

My Farberware 12 cup coffee maker recently stopped working after spilling water while trying to put it into the pot. The water was cleaned immediately and a pot was able to be brewed directly after, but after that pot, it wouldn't brew. We have tried cleaning it thoroughly and running vinegar through it. We looked to the manual for help, but it doesn't have the answer that works. We are unsure of how to fix this or if it's a lost cause. It turns on and makes the brewing noises but nothing runs through it. We have only had this coffee pot for a couple of months, maybe more. Does anyone know how to fix this or do we have to get a completely new coffee pot?
