iPhone 3G是第二代iPhone。型号A1241,有8或16 GB容量,和炫酷的黑色或洁白的白色塑料背面。修复比第一款iPhone更简单。需要螺丝刀、撬撬工具和吸尘工具。

2nd Replacement LCD not working.

I have just attached

Got the 2nd LCD home last night and replace the previous LCD. When I turned it on, it showed the battery was depleted for 1 second and then went dark. I connected it to the Mac but, while it vibrated, nothing displayed. I reset connector #1, 2 and 3 (which I think doesn't go in far enough for me). Nothing. Zip Nada.

This last display at least showed the depleted battery icon for a second. The previous one never showed any life. I know the iPhone is alive: it vibrates when connecting and it appears in iTunes. I reseated all connectors 3 times. And still nothing.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Allex

take a look at the dock/connector 4, it may be not lodged properly. i take it that if you are replacing the lcd you have dropped it? if it has been dropped at the bottom sometimes the dock is damaged and therefore there is no way of power getting to phone/battery and itunes can't recognise phone. it may be that the battery has now run out of life because it can't charge via dock-hence your short screen life, which now shows nothing. clean dock port with isopropyl alcohol, look for dust/dirt in bay. check ribbon 4 is connected properly. the other problem may be that battery connection is dislodged....check under the "don't remove" sticker. maybe the prongs that make connection with battery have been damaged. if so you can try to gently pry them up. dock connectors are fairly cheap to buy.
