I hope you are in great health.
My Playstation 4 CUH-1003A has trouble reading disks.
The disc drive not reading disks anymore and emits sound like loud clicks every 20 sec for 3 times even if there are no disk inside.
Also in rest mode in still emits the sound but for long interval of time.
Its model :CUH-1003A
It’s now out of warranty.
Is there are any way to repair the disc drive or should I replace it.

There is a good chance that your optical drive is fixable. There are several parts inside the optical drive that can fall out and cause similar problems to what you are having. If you don't find anything visibly wrong with the drive then you may need to go ahead and replace it.

I really managed to fix it
Was it a small plastic black gear with a spring? I have the same issue and I need to simply find the placement for this gear to bring my PS4 back to life. Seems it fell out when I was doing a laser cleaning after HDMI port repair and thermal paste changing. Game will detect and same thing I get a clicking then unrecognized disc.
