Won't turn on after YLOD fix
My 1st gen PS3 got the yellow light of death so I bought the repair kit and attempted to fix the problem using the step by step guide. After putting everything back together my PS3 won't even attempt to start. No sound, nothing. I'm guessing it could be a problem with the power supply but that wasn't the issue when I started fixing the PS3. Any hints as to why it won't start?
Did you double check to ensure all cables are properly installed and seated? Have you checked to make sure that your repair did not cause any further damage? Exactly which guide did you follow?

i had the same problem with ps3 path becouse the solder tin is not good enough. i bought the ps3 super slim that one is way better

Yea but I have 1st gen which plays ps1 and 2 games. I would like to get it working again because of this.
